GENERAL INFO . . . During classes, it is preferred that students enter the
academy quietly no sooner than 10 minutes prior to class. While class is in session, no one should be on the
floor nor should anyone cross the floor wearing hard-soled shoes at any time. All students should be wearing a leotard.
FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS

RECITAL COSTUMES . . . The costume company has been sent
our final order as of Feb. 1 at noon. Competition teams will be receiving their
orders in approximately 3 weeks and all other classes will receive theirs in 8
to 10 weeks. Only costumes that were paid in full were included. If you have not paid and still plan to do so, your
costume order will go out once the balance has been paid in
full.
If you plan to pay your balance, please read through the recital costume section of your September Newsletter
for specific guidelines to determine the late fees & shipping fees that will need to be paid in order for the costume
company to ship your order.
Competitive
Teams Our first competition
for all
groups will be held on Saturday, March 1. Registration fees will be due on Feb 18
at 9 pm. You will receive a statement next week. Please be aware that if you do
not pay on time, your child will not be able to attend the competition. Our
next competition will be held March 15 with the registration fees due on March
4 at 9 pm. The teams will be wearing the yellow 2013 National t-shirts to
competitions during March-May as well as the team jacket. These are available
at the studio if you do not have one. Last day to order will be February 13.
All team members need both the shirt and jacket worn to each & everyone of
the competitions.
Thoughts
for Winter
As the hum-drum
winter days keep
on coming . . . I, again, will be giving
away two scholarships for the 2014-2015 season. One will go out to a
recreational student and their parent and the other to a competitive student
and their parent. Next week, when you visit our website, you will notice a new
page dedicated to the requirements for each scholarship. Both of these
scholarships will be awarded during our End-of-the-Year Recital.
Fundraisers
All fundraisers from January on
will be placed into your individual account to be used for registration fees
for competition teams and/or
class fees. So, keep on
fundraising!!!
Note to Parents
It is the
responsibility for parents to check with children or look in their bags for
handouts, etc… Papers are not handed out every week, however, there are times
when I give your child a paper that needs to go to you. The academy posts notes
to parents if something has been sent home with the children, but it’s best if
you can check their bags every week. Thank you!

Cancellations
Any cancellations due to weather
will be made by 2 pm Monday-Thursday. You can watch my Facebook, or the 94.7
WKKI. Remember, just because school is cancelled, DOES NOT mean that the studio
will be closed.
